About Us

Red River Stepping Stones was founded in 2023 by the Semmens family in response to their youngest son, Tyler’s, experience with moving from a group home into an apartment setting. Watching the look on Tyler’s face when he was denied placement from regional residential agencies was heartbreaking for the family and all those involved. The idea was then formed to start their own agency to provide an apartment setting for Tyler with staff support. Unfortunately, Tyler passed away unexpectedly without the opportunity to move into his own apartment. The family decided to continue with establishing an agency as an honor and legacy to Tyler.
